Wander Must: Mexico’s Crystal Caves & Bucket Lists

Lately, I’ve been working on my Bucket List (and also trying to come up with a much better name for said list — any ideas?). So when the immensely talented  Julia Rothman tweeted about the giant Cave of Crystals in Mexico, I immediately added them to my list. You can’t currently visit them, as they’re part of a mine, but I’m sure that will change someday. Aren’t they stunning? They’re made of gypsum (the same thing White Sands is made of) and it’s 122 degrees down in the caves. I’ve been training in the desert, so hopefully when they are open to the public one day, I’ll be ready.

Do you have a Bucket List? What’s on it? I’ll show you mine if you show me yours…

Kate Spade Sale Hunting: Tights & Socks, Oh My!

We love tights almost as much as we love cupcakes, which is to say an irrationally large amount. Lucky for us, Kate Spade tights are as cute as sprinkle-topped cupcakes and right now they’re also on sale — plus, hello, calorie-free! For under $20, you can add a pop of cuteness and charm below the belt.

Feeling socksy? We’re completely smitten with the darling ankle socks. In fact, the Long Weekend Sock Box Set (was $52, now $38) makes a super swell Easter gift, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday socks. Would it be too much to coordinate them with our Days of the Week skivvies? Hmmm…

Where to shop the Kate Spade sale?

Right here.

Gisele’s Post-Baby Body Graces Vogue’s April Cover

Snuggled up in bed recovering from flopping into spring rather than springing forward (ouch), just about to enjoy the comforts of a chocolate donut, this plopped into my inbox. Thanks, Voguettes. Gisele’s post-baby body graces the cover of Vogue’s annual Shape Issue (April) and she tells us “I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.”

Does this inspire you to get in shape or to shoot someone? Nibble on that while I nibble on this donut…

The Daily Giggle: Coffee and Cigarettes Mug

I don’t drink coffee. And I don’t smoke cigarettes (or anything else for that matter, Mom!). And I don’t support smoking. At all. In fact, I loathe it. But this amusing coffee and cigarettes mug by Carlo Trevisani reminds me of Paris and made me smile. An irreverent Easter gift, perhaps? I wonder if you can replace the cigarette with a lollypop. A hot chocolate and lollypop mug is something I could really get behind. You?
